The Sound Meadow holds space for stillness through the immersive power of gong baths. Using the ancient practice of sound-as-healing, these unique and sonically rich gatherings are for all those seeking a pause from the world.

For those needing a moment to catch their breath, to switch off and enter a state of deep and blissful tranquility, you are most welcome.

Run by professional musician and accredited sound practitioner, Robert Sudall, The Sound Meadow runs weekly sound bath sessions from its base near Bingley in West Yorkshire.

Using a wide array of instruments during a typical sound bath (including crystal singing bowls), the centre-piece is a stunning 34 inch Grotta Sonora Deep Gong, handmade in central Italy. The incredibly rich, powerful and sonorous tones of this beautiful instrument, when used in conjunction with other therapeutic instruments, helps participants sink into a deeper state of consciousness, and can be hugely beneficial in the reduction of stress and anxiety, bringing the body back into a state of balance.

More about Robert

When he is not running Sound Baths, Robert has a full-time career as a professional jazz and classical musician.

Robert studied organ and piano at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, graduating in 2006, and since then has carved a hugely varied career, playing at concert halls, cathedrals, churches and festivals across the UK.

Robert’s love of jazz has seen him perform extensively in duo, trio and quartet formats, often leading from the piano, but occasionally also at the Hammond organ. His own compositions have been featured on BBC Radio 2 as well as BBC Introducing, and he has now released 6 albums containing all his own work.

Further recording and live performances are planned for 2025 and a full list of his concert activities can be found on his own website at www.robertsudall.com.
